    Former Chelsea and Italy striker Gianluca Vialli has died at the age of 58. In November 2018. Vialli announced that he was undergoing radiation and chemotherapy after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed with the condition in April 2020. But in December 2021 he announced that he had cancer again.

         Vialli won Serie A with both Sampdoria and Juventus. While he also helped Juve to Champions League success in 1996. a few months later and helped the UFABET club win the FA Cup. Cup in his first season at Stamford Bridge , Vialli became Chelsea’s player-manager in 1998. Becoming the first Italian to manage a Premier League side and winning the entire League Cup. The UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup after the end of his professional career. Vialli led Chelsea to UEFA Super Cup and FA Cup trophies in 2000.

        For Italy, he scored 16 goals in 59 appearances and was part of the Italy national team in 1986 and 1990. There will be a moment of silence before all games in Italy this weekend. The Chelsea Club expressed its condolences through a statement that “As soon as he walked into Stamford Bridge as a world-class football star, Luka has announced his desire to become a Chelsea legend.

   “It was without a doubt the goal he reached. He is revered for his performance on the pitch and for his performances on the side during some of the most successful years in our history. Beloved by the fans, players and staff at Stamford Bridge , Luka will not only be missed by the Chelsea community, but also by the Chelsea community. but including the whole football world Including in his native Italy where he is a very important person . Luca’s wife, his daughters Sophia and Olivia, among others. in family and friends during this tragic time.”

         A statement from the Italian Football Association [FIGC] on Friday 6 January 2023 reads: ” Photo taken on Wembley pitch cuddling with coach Roberto Mancini after Federico Chiesa’s goal in the game. The 58-year-old, after a long illness and fighting with dignity with all the blue families, gave him strength in a moment of silence but great suffering.”
